In the immediate vicinity, more specifically 150 m from the Apartment House Gvarda, there is also a market with basic foods in the event that you run out of any ingredient for preparing the Istrian meal. If this offer is not good enough, you can drive to Bašanija, towards Savudrija, where there is a larger grocery store. In the town of Umag, there are larger shopping centres (Konzum, Plodine, Kaufland, Interspar, Lidl).

You can also buy home produced, fresh vegetables and fruits from a small local grower in Zambratija, 250 m away from Apartment House Gvarda.
